JAMAICA

Jamaica has been on my list for a while and it was just a matter of time. As soon as I find the right time, booked this amazing hotel Roundhill Villas at Montego Bay and it was just perfect for a long weekend.
Five hour flight from Newyork and 25minutes drive from the airport.

Designed by Ralph Lauren with its amazing view right by the turquoise blue ocean.
I’m usually an ocean/sea person but obviously couldn’t resist spending my afternoons in this infiniti pool surrounded by palm trees:)
Every morning stars with fresh fruits followed by Jamaican coffee and yummy breakfast. Have to admit I missed my post brunch macchiato since their definition was slightly different😆

Weather forecast made me nervous before the take off since there was rain on the forecast but I guess it was my lucky weekend since there was not even one drop but extremely hot and humid weather where I almost spent most of the day in the ocean. And reading in between- finished a perfect vacation booked “Italian Affair”.

Hotel recommended us an amazing local spot where they catch your select of fish in the am and cook it for you for lunch.

Five minute drive away from the hotel, this place amazed me not only with the pop-up colors of Jamaica but also the family who owns the spot. Check out those cutest bathroom signs:)

The owners Tiffany and her mom, created this space years back but has been almost completely disappeared after the tornado. And rebuilt year ago again.

Lobster Trapp -yes with double “p” 🙂

Amazing food, crazy pop colors, delicious sea food. Just tried to keep up and blend with Jamaica:)

Of course it would not be that much fun without my partners in crime.

Lovely chats, laughs to catch up.

One thing that Also caught my attention was those pineapples 🍍 Did a bit of research nd learned that in Jamaica pineapple represents hospitality. Now it makes sense why Jamaica loves it and why I ended up seeing so much of art with pineapple heads. Of course I had to have my own shot😆

 Last night…

Amazing sunset as a closing of magical long weekend. Jamaica didn’t surprise me with thay closing at all:)

Important things to know though:

Always book a car from your hotel to pick you up from your hotel and drop off.

When you decide to have a local experience outside your hotel, drivers will never leave you out there alone and wait for you until you are done.

Jamaica might be cheap but resorts are not! Every check comes with 10% government tax + 18% service charge so better be ready!

Totally worth it for a long weekend👌🏼
