I love reading – so much. It’s a little insane that I don’t know where to stop most of the time. It’s an amazing gift and a bit of curse since you just need to give your brain sometime just to digest:)
But what I do while reading is to take bite size notes for myself to remind me the most valuable parts of those books. So that I can go back and refresh my memory.
Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain is one of those books that I enjoyed reading. Basically the premise of the book is showing you some techniques on using power of your imagination to create what you want in life. Believe it or not!
It really is you who is creating what you have in your life -positive and negative. Taking the responsibility and ownership of your imagination is one of the things you can start doing while paying more attention on what you paint for yourself in life. Consciously or unconsciously!
One of the tricks that I learned from this book which is so easy to implement in your life is : picturing your sanctuary place. Mostly I use it as my meditation before bed every night which helps me to relax and let go of all the stress and negativity of the day. By imagining the place or moment where I feel the happiest and at peace. Whatever that place is for you… Maybe right by the beach listening the sound of the waves? Or in the middle of an emerald forest listening the birds singing?
Whatever it is, just go there every day. Even if it is 5mins. That peaceful state of mind will be infectious and save you all the time when you feel like you are drowning. Et voila!
If you are interested in reading the book, it’s super easy to follow with short chapters where I recommend doing the practices at the end if each one. Promise you’ll enjoy and will be surprised to realize your creation process and power;)
